05 Build reputation
Turn finished work into genuine reviews.
Review automation asks every real customer for honest feedback at the right moment after a completed job — so the quality of your work becomes visible to the next person deciding who to call. Real customers only. No fake, bought or filtered reviews.

Why it matters
Good work that nobody hears about doesn’t build a reputation.

Most happy customers never leave a review — not because they didn’t like the work, but because nobody asked at a moment when it was easy.
Meanwhile, the next person searching for a service business reads the reviews that do exist. A steady flow of recent, genuine feedback helps them trust you, and it’s one of the signals that shapes how your business shows up locally.
How it works
The right request, at the right time, every time.
- 01
Timing
Requests go out shortly after the job is marked complete, while the experience is fresh.
- 02
The request
A short, personal message from your business with a direct link to leave a review.
- 03
Reminders
One gentle reminder if there’s no response. Then it stops.
- 04
Convenience
One tap from the message to the review, on the phone they already have in their hand.
- 05
Customer experience
Respectful wording, sensible timing and no pressure — the request should feel like part of good service.
- 06
Responding to reviews
Alerts for new reviews and a simple workflow to reply thoughtfully — positive or negative.
Ongoing reputation
Reputation is built job by job.
A burst of reviews followed by months of silence doesn’t say much. A consistent system that asks after every completed job builds a reputation that stays current.
That reputation feeds straight back into the start of the BBB loop: it strengthens local visibility and gives the next customer a reason to choose you.

Questions
Review automation, answered.
Can you guarantee five-star reviews or a higher rating?
No. Customers decide what to write. What BBB can do is make sure every real customer is asked at the right time — which gives your actual work the best chance of being seen.
Do you only send requests to happy customers?
No. Filtering requests so only satisfied customers are asked — often called review gating — misrepresents your reputation and goes against platform policies. Every customer is asked.
Is it allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?
Yes, asking customers for honest reviews is normal. What platforms prohibit is fake reviews, paying or rewarding people for reviews, and selectively soliciting only positive ones. BBB’s approach avoids all three.
What happens if someone leaves a negative review?
It stays up, and your business gets a chance to respond professionally. A thoughtful reply often matters to future customers as much as the review itself.
How does the system know a job is finished?
Usually from the tools you already use — a job marked complete, an invoice paid, or a simple manual trigger. The right trigger is agreed before setup.
